Members of the New Forest District Council's Landlord Forum had requested a session on energy efficiency so I was pleased to be invited to speak to the group.
The forum represents private sector landlords and letting agents with properties in the New Forest area.
Topics discussed included:
- changes to the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) regulations, with a proposed uplift to EPC by 2028 for all rental properties
- phasing out of gas boilers
- costs and practicalities of installing heat pumps
