Claire Westron - Director

 

Claire founded Resolution Energy in 2018, bringing over 25 years of experience in the housing, construction, and environmental sectors.

​

Her background spans both Local Government and consultancy, giving her a strong understanding of planning, compliance, and the practical challenges of delivering sustainable buildings. She has worked extensively with developers, architects, and design teams to integrate energy and sustainability strategies from early design through to completion.

Claire is accredited in a range of industry-standard methodologies, and has delivered environmental assessment and energy modelling services across a wide variety of residential and commercial projects, from new-build schemes to refurbishments.

She provides clear, solution-focused advice to support planning submissions, meet regulatory requirements, and optimise building performance—helping project teams balance sustainability ambitions with cost, buildability, and programme. She leads assessments on larger developments and mentors our assistant consultants.

Claire holds a degree in Environmental Sciences and a Masters in Climate Change and Sustainability, with research focused on occupant behaviour in low-energy housing. Claire is accredited through Elmhurst Energy as both a residential and commercial assessor. She continues to maintain up to date knowledge of evolving regulations, modelling standards, and best practice including dynamic thermal modelling and PHPP.
