New Homes
All new build dwellings require a SAP calculation which confirms compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations.
Resolution Energy is fully accredited through Elmhurst Energy to provide SAP calculations and Building Regulations Part L compliance. Claire has been an Elmhurst accredited SAP Assessor for over 13 years and has experience of working on a wide range of house and construction types.

We can assess new build housing and also conversions such as office to residential, or division of houses to flats.

We will review your drawings and advise on any improvements that may be needed, for example to insulation, air tightness, heating systems, ventilation or renewable energy technologies. SAP calculations do not generally require a site visit so we are able to offer this service nationwide.

On completion of the build we will provide the ‘As Built’ compliance reports for Building Control and lodgement of Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs).
SAP Calculations for Extensions
Extensions with large areas of glazing such as roof lanterns or bifold doors will generally need a set of SAP calculations which will be requested by your Building Control Officer. The SAP calculations are used to compare the proposed extension to the Building Regulations requirements, and effectively allow the higher amounts of glazing to be "offset" by making improvements elsewhere in the design of the extension.
