Resolution Energy was glad to be able to assist with the documentation needed for a barn conversion and application for the Renewable Heat Incentive. Great to see this traditional stone barn being brought back into use, with the client choosing significantly better thicknesses of insulation than those required by the Building Regs.
"Our architect, Geoff Potter of Sunstone Design, recommended us to Claire. We needed a SAP/EPC for building control. Straight away Claire was able to answer our queries and kindly helped us by providing the documentation within our tight time frame.
Solar PV array Air source heat pump
It was our intention to build a house within the barn's existing stone walls that would not just meet the minimum standards of construction and insulation but exceed those bench marks where ever it was possible. Our research into ASHPs lead us to the Austrian Company Heliotherm and our installation was carried out by Eco nrg Ltd from Modbury Devon, they calculated the size of ASHP we needed and we opted for the largest solar array we could aesthetically and economically achieve.
We are very grateful for Claire's expertise and providing our documentation in time to be signed off by building control and apply for the RHI. Thank you" Helen Hodge, Cott Barn, Devon
