About us
Resolution Energy was founded in 2018 by Claire Westron, who brings over 25 years of experience in the housing, construction, and environmental sectors.
Claire’s journey began in Local Government, where she spent eight years working across housing, planning, and environmental teams. During this time, she helped deliver a wide range of projects aimed at improving energy efficiency, expanding access to renewable energy, and supporting affordable warmth strategies.
In 2007, Claire moved into consultancy, where she developed specialist expertise in environmental assessments. She became accredited in several leading methodologies, including EcoHomes, the Code for Sustainable Homes, the Home Quality Mark, BREEAM, SAP and SBEM. Over the years, she’s provided advice and guidance on everything from new housing developments to complex refurbishment projects—across both residential and commercial sectors.
Claire set up Resolution Energy to offer clients independent, honest advice rooted in technical knowledge and real-world experience. Her goal is to help make buildings more energy efficient, future-ready, and comfortable to live or work in.
She holds a degree in Environmental Sciences and a Masters in Climate Change and Sustainability. Her post-graduate research focused on how occupant behaviour affects the performance of low-energy housing—an area she’s still passionate about today.
Claire is deeply committed to ongoing learning and professional development. She regularly updates her skills to keep pace with changes in building regulations, energy modelling standards, and sustainability frameworks. This ensures that Resolution Energy’s advice remains current, reliable, and aligned with best practice.
Claire is fully accredited through Elmhurst Energy as an On Construction Domestic Energy Assessor, a Level 4 Non-Domestic Energy Assessor, a Better Buildings Consultant, and is also a qualified Energy Advisor.
